Run
What would you do differently?: Leave earlier to avoid stressing in traffic. First time driving in downtown DC didn't help the stress level either. ;) Post race
Warm down: Walking, stretching, eating and drinking. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not much. I felt really great about the whole run. Event comments: Really enjoyed this race. The weather was probably a big limiter on crowd support and post race activities. The volunteers were awesome. I had a great race! Last updated: 2007-01-23 12:00 AM

Got up at 4:45am. Dressed. Ate a banana, hugged my kids and hubby and headed out the door for an hour drive downtown. Ate a bagel with PB on the road. Sipped on water the entire way. Made it all the way down to the venue and then sat in traffic waiting to park for 25 mins. Finally parked w/only 20 mins. til start time.
My event warm-up consisted of speed walking across the parking lots and mini-jumps and stretches while standing in line at the port-a-potties. Few more stretches at the start line and off we went.
