Comments:

Race is tune up for ING Georgia full mary so plan was to go out fast, run hard the first half and hang on the rest of the way. I thought I might
PR - 1:38 - because on paper the course looked primed for speed. Went out fast, dealt with the hills in the middle part, started to fade the last 5-6k, so missed the PR by around 2mins. The day went more or less according to plan, I guess, but I sure would have liked a little faster time in light of some speed work I've been doing.
ING Georgia is an 'A' race for me - I think this was a good test of where things stand, fitness-wise, and that I know now that to hit the goal 3:30time, my work is cut out.
What would you do differently?:

Not eat such a heavy dinner the night before - Too much lasagna felt like a brick in my tummy. Also, not forget my running socks at home. I ran the race in the thick wool socks I left home in.
Post race
Warm down:

stretch, very short jog

Event comments:

Terrific little race - I really like the course which is almost totally in the woods.

Performance: Average
Course: One loop on the Callaway Gardens grounds - There was an out and back around the maybe 7th mile. Slightly rolling terrain except for some hills in the middle section, one of which lasted a bit longer than a quarter mile and had a decent grade. Overall, a fast course.
