Swim
Comments: Not really happy with my swim still. I get out a hundred yards, maybe less, and nerves hit me. Can't control my breathing very well so I end up paddling through most of it. Much better than at MAP, but not to my expectations yet. Missed my goal by :47 What would you do differently?: Try to find more swimming space and relax more. Transition 1
Comments: Felt really good to be out of the water. Very happy with my T1 transition. Long run from the lake to the TA. Wetsuit slid right off and away we went What would you do differently?: Run faster Bike
Comments: Great start on the bike. I think this made me some time up from the swim. Really familiar with course from group rides so I knew where I should push and where I should conserve. What would you do differently?: Need to start training at a higher cadence with more gear. Might get my bike re-fit also. Transition 2
Comments: Again, I'm happy with this transition. The course had us running a really long way from dismount to the TA, but that may have helped me get my running legs working. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Thought that I would do better on the run after the last couple weeks of training, but I am happy with it. Cramped up pretty good, but ran through it and didn't stop. Hit a PR for a 5K!! What would you do differently?: Not take a big slug of gatorade in T2 before the run. Start training with enduralytes. Post race
Warm down: Walk around a bit and cheer on the rest of the Queen City Tri Club crew as they came down the shoot. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nerves in the water Event comments: Wasn't really a grandiose affair. You started, finished and that's it. i would like a little more pizzaz after the race. Last updated: 2007-01-27 12:00 AM

Did a few yards in the lake to loosen up and check the water temp. Felt fine
