Pre-race routine:

The usual rutine. Stayed w/ friends bout 35 min away. Up about 630 out the door round 650.. Got the single poop double pee ritual in. Partner, Jeff (jparr), and I tood separte cars for post race leaving ease. Jammed w/ some trick daddy to get me in the "im a bad ass, gonna kick your ass" mode
Event warmup:

Got bike ready walked over. To racing area/expo. Took a light 3-4 min jog aroung the set up to get blood moving. then a light stretch. Found buddy at the start. We were the 2nd wave to go out.
Post race
Warm down:

After going through the mud pit and the finish line mug shot. Got the free cytomax and walk it off. Went to check out the last wave of starters and back to the Mud Pit finish to see somemore of the victims of the Georgia red clay

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing really.. We both finished the race at the same time which is ideal.

Event comments:

Here is the Muddy buddy break down. You and partner share a bike. One starts on the bike, one on the run. The bikers start 2 min before the runner. There are 4 obsticales in the race w/ a 30 yard mud pit at the end. The bike will get to the 1st obstical, drop the bike, do the obstical and start running. The runner will come to the obstacle, do it, then pick up the bike and head off to the next obsitcal. Buddies alternate btw bike and run till meet at the mud pit. I like this years obsticals. 1st was a 6 ft climb wall, 2nd 20ft inflatable slide w/ cargo climb up, 3rd was 40ft balance beam, 4th was 6ft over under. The over under was my favorite, but i think that was my partners least fav. I was way more prepared this year. Last year Jeff was waiting for me at the switches. More info see www.muddybuddy.com
