Swim
Comments: This was my best swim ever. I usually panic but this time I didn't. I was fourth of four at start and passed everyone in my lane! What would you do differently?: I could have been more aggressive early on, but I wanted to make sure i didn't panic as usual and when there was no sign of that I kicked in the jets. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: It was my first time clipping my shoes in ahead of time. It will take some practice to get it down. Also, my jersey got stuck while I was putting it on. Bike
What would you do differently?: I pushed it the majority of the ride but I wanted to save some for the run. I just need to keep training and working on a higher average speed. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: I din't know, it went pretty well. Run
Comments: I felt strong throughout the run and seemed to get stronger. It was great. What would you do differently?: I've found that speed work is crucial to faster times and plan on including it weekly from now on. Post race
Warm down: A few cups of Hammer HEED and some light stretching whioe waiting for others to finish. Event comments: I felt like I breezed through everything and was shocked when I saw my T times. I thought sure I did my fastest time ever but the fact that I swam well and didn't panic in the pool outshines everything. Last updated: 2007-02-04 12:00 AM

Simple set-up. For this race I clipped my shoes into my clips before the race to see how it would work. I also planned on going sockless.
After trans set-up I hppked up with pals Dave and Jack, and we ran a lap of the run, about 1 mile.
