Swim
Comments: Tried to start out with Taco, but he was super fast and was gone! I tried to draft, but par for the course with Vigo's race, the swim waves were small. I felt like I was pushing really hard, but wasn't going anywhere as there was a current coming at us. We also had some chop which caused me to actually get a little sea sick The water was a little cloudy and I couldn't see my watch at the sailboat. I kept pushing and was glad to have a current at our backs after we made the turn. My sighting was spot on on the return leg although it felt like it was never going to end. I made my way up the boat ramp and over the mat to finish the swim. I looked at my watch and couldn't have been happier with my swim! Better than I thought considering the conditions! What would you do differently?: Nothing...I had an awesome swim! Transition 1
Comments: Run from swim was tough as I was going all out (and just got finished going all out). The run to Laura was long, but when I got to her, I put my leg out, she took the chip strap off me, put it on her and she was off. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike

Comments: Heidi's run Post race
Event comments: Due to IM CdA, we opted to run the race as a relay. This was very fun and makes me look forward to more relays. We had a great group of athletes and a ton of family come to cheer us on which was awesome! Last updated: 2007-02-05 12:00 AM

Parked at 5am and had some bagels/bananas for breakfast with Brad, Laura and Tim. Since our wave didn't go off until 8:13, we had some time to kill. We walked around TA, chatted with some BT folks and then cheered for the athletes as they finished the swim. Saw the pros come in which was pretty cool!
Not much of a warm up....had a GU about :20 before the wave start. Craig and I said our goodbyes and that we'd see everyone in about :30.
We walked out into the warm Choptank to the white Eagleman bouys and waited for the start.
