Comments:

Our running gang for the day was Sue, Shaun, Wendi, Rick, and my ex Amir. We did the usual BT stuff...sang, made jokes, yelled, carried on, and had a good ole time. I was just there to get in a long run and take it easy, and that is exactly what I got. It was great! I saw my friends Sharon and Sherri out there, but missed a bunch of other people I thought I might see.
Christine had a snack stand set up at one spot, and I got a poptart. Yum!! Thanks, Christine!
I had to run fast at one point after I used the porta pottie and had to catch up to the group. That was good. Just 5-10 minutes at a faster pace.
We saw Jeff on Bayshore and he was ahead of the 3:50 pace group, so that was good to see. I can't believe he did a 3:39!!!
Sue and Wendi both PRed but neither of them seemed to be hurting or even trying very hard! They made it looked so darn easy.
I drank water and gatorade, and ate one poptart.
Amir was feeling pretty bad in the last 3 miles, so we dropped back from the group and finished a couple of minutes behind them. I didn't want him to finish alone after running all day with us.
What would you do differently?:

Nada.
Post race
Warm down:

Freeze. Shane had sugar cookies and a tub of frosting. I ate them. Saw Rich and met a new BTer, Lawrence. Sat in Shane's car and blasted the heat and talked to his sister. I like her! Then we headed out to see Lyle and Jeff finish and they had just finished when we got there!! Oops! We didn't expect both of them to do 3:39!!

Event comments:

Fun, fun, fun. We are all so blessed to have one another.
