Pre-race routine:

5am wake-up and try to eliminate last minute needs and details... Arrive at the park @ 6am. Nice being to event this early because I was able to get all my things in place in plenty of time and did not have to feel rushed to do anything. Ate a cliff bar for breakfast and let that be it. I think that was an excellent plan for eating was much lighter and set well on my stomach during the race.
Event warmup:

No real warm-up I did plenty of walking and swam a little right before it was time to start...
Swim
  • 12m 29s
  • 600 yards
  • 02m 05s / 100 yards
Comments:

Happy with performance on the swim was at a much better breathing cadence...
What would you do differently?:

Need more practice working on seeing where I am going and swimming in a straight line toward this desired point.
Transition 1
  • 01m 46s
Comments:

Pleased with T1
What would you do differently?:

Need to remember to check and see what gear the bike is in prior to starting race...
Bike
  • 1h 01m 5s
  • 17.39 miles
  • 17.08 mile/hr
Comments:

Pleased with my bike effort for the race. I still can see that this is my weakest portion of the race and where I could gain the most time. Need to continue to concentrate on my bike workouts and try to gain some momentum in this section of my racing.
Transition 2
  • 01m 28s
Comments:

Pleased with my idea around mi 16 to remove my cycling gloves and stick the in the leg of my trisuit. This helped to save time and was easy to pull them out of the trisuit leg and leave them at transition.
What would you do differently?:

Would like to perform faster transition but I was pleased with the effort
Run
  • 28m 5s
  • 3 miles
  • 09m 22s  min/mile
Comments:

Was not satisfied with the run... But I knew this was likely to be the case because of a lack in training and also I was determined to put every ounce of my energy into the bike segment.
Post race
Warm down:

Find brief amount of shade and drink water and stretch. Then maintained good amount of walking to aid in my recover for my legs.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training and hot conditions...

Event comments:

Very proud of the effort given by the race team for a successful event. In one year over doubled the amount of participants. We hope to keep the great food and tons of door prizes to keep people coming back year after year for the hospitality and a great race.
