What would you do differently?: Push myself harder and not hold back as much. Transition 1
Comments: I spent wayyyyyy too much time drying my feet off! haha Other than that I had no problem getting my shoes, helmet, glasses, and gloves on. The gloves did slow me down some. What would you do differently?: I wouldn't spend so much time trying to dry off. I also was chatting some with my mom and dad along the sidelines! Bike
Comments: Need to log more miles on the bike What would you do differently?: keep my cadance up and push harder on the downhill Transition 2
Comments: I was much quicker during this transition. Put my shoes on, grabbed the race belt, and took a quick drink of water. Run
Comments: My legs felt like bricks and I was really struggling the first mile. Once I got my legs worked out I started to feel like myself. I was soooo HOT and my feet fell asleep. I wasn't happy with my time and my legs just felt heavy. My breathing was great though. What would you do differently?: I wouldn't tie my shoes so tight because my feet fell asleep! I need to do more brick workouts Post race
Event comments: For my first Tri I had a GREAT experience. I am hooked and can't wait to do another one! Last updated: 2007-02-27 12:00 AM

I woke up at 4:45, ate breakfast, grabbed my bag and headed out the door. I arrived at the race site at 6:00. I needed to pump my tires and started on my back one and it wouldn't stay inflated. I stayed calm and ask someone who knew like they had experience doing this for help. The walk to the transition area took a little longer than I thought.
Since I had to have my bike looked at, set up my area, wait in line FOREVER for the bathroom - I didn't get to warm up. I did a few stretches and kept drinking water. I didn't really have time to even think.
