Pre-race routine:

Drove through tornado to get to Allen, picked up packet, drove bike course and as much of run course as I could figure out. Dinner night before was pizza with teammate. Morning of: small amount of coffee (it was cold), o.j., and my toasted English Muffin with PB & J
Event warmup:

AS this was a reverse tri, the run was first, so just jogged around the parking lot.
Swim
  • 13m 43s
  • 437 yards
  • 03m 08s / 100 yards
Comments:

I miscounted the amount of laps and thought I had further to go than I actually did
What would you do differently?:

swim faster!
Transition 1
  • 01m 42s
Comments:

This T1 was between run and bike.
What would you do differently?:

remember to take my race belt off from the run!
Bike
  • 59m 14s
  • 15 miles
  • 15.19 mile/hr
Comments:

nobody else crossed the timing mat at end of bike, and I ran back to do that. Later I found out T2 was included in bike segment.
What would you do differently?:

I would pay attention to where it says Bike In and leave it at that. Not waste two minutes of time after racking to go step on mat again.
Transition 2
  • 00m 30s
Comments:

This transition was from bike to swim
What would you do differently?:

remember to take off sunglasses before putting on swim stuff! and not run back across the bike out timing mat...
Run
  • 31m 46s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 10m 13s  min/mile
Comments:

nice run.
What would you do differently?:

don't think I would change anything about the run. it was fine. WE paced ourselves well despite no feedback (mile marker, etc)
Post race
Warm down:

stretching

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I messed up on bike in portion, I thought I had further to swim, therefore 'paced myself'

Event comments:

First time to do a reverse Triathlon, in a smaller setting. I now realize not all events have you cross the timing mat on bike in. Good experience though and friendly people.
