Swim
Comments: able to pass one other but was passed by 2, lanes and swim felt never ending. Need to work on form and speed What would you do differently?: be more relaxed and confident in the water Transition 1
Comments: Thought transition went well. Worried about drying off so I wouldn't freeze. Could speed up the process. What would you do differently?: Run faster with bike and to remind new found friends to remove their helmets after the ride Bike
Comments: Really enjoyed the bike. Great weather, nice scenery. Beat my husband Rob's bike time by 30 seconds. His EXCUSE...couldn't get clipped....lol What would you do differently?: Train more with hills Transition 2
Comments: Legs squishy after ride so I walked to TA. Leisure putting on shoes, belt and glasses What would you do differently?: run to TA, be more quick with shoes and belt...no dilly dalling Run
Comments: could have picked it up a little. Had right side stitch in beginning of run. Should have walked to relieve. Drank some water which helped. Passed by Rob, which then I knew the end was near. What would you do differently?: Train to run faster...give myself the benefit of doubt Post race
Warm down: few stretches, oranges, crackers and peanut butter, cold Sunkist What limited your ability to perform faster: not pushing self Event comments: Unable to really rate race, my first tri. It was a great experience. Volunteers very friendly, encouraging. Met a lot of great people and friends through BT. Can't wait to work harder for next race in May. Last updated: 2007-03-03 12:00 AM

RESTLESS NIGHT SLEEP. THINKING ABOUT RACE DAY. Got UP AT 6AM, SHOWERED, HAD SOME COFFEE AND BAGEL. PACKED DUFFLE BAG AND MADE SURE EVERYTHING WAS IN OUR COOL BUCKEYE BUCKETS. Observed TA set up and followed protocol. Very nervous and talked with fellow triathletes. Watched beginning of race and cheered on friends
3/4 mile walk to race start from parking lot. Few strokes in holding tank before swim.
