Swim
Comments: Unprepared mentally for first OWS, seemed endless and not liking deep water doesn't help. Everything that I have learned from swim clinic totally forgot and I was never able to relax and get my stroke rhythm What would you do differently?: Remain calm and get some open water practice and improve my nutrition Transition 1
Comments: Transition went well for wearing a wetsuit for the first time Bike
Comments: pretty upset with traffic being 5 to 6 cars deep quite often, especially at intersections and people doing u-turns What would you do differently?: Drink more while riding, need to work on gear changing and cadence Transition 2
Comments: Easier transition Run
Comments: Had a stitch in my right side the entire time except the last 1/4 mile. Fellow runners and friends kept me going giving me tips and support. Had to walk some and drank water. What would you do differently?: Keep fueling on bike and water with run Post race
Warm down: None except walking through the finish area to get gatorade and chex mix What limited your ability to perform faster: Poor nutrition race week and during race, mentally, emotionally and physically drained Event comments: Chalk this one up for a learning experience Do's and definitely dont's.
