![]() Swim
Comments: No push-off on start, (jump in). The walls were different than the pool I swim at so my turns were off. about a 15 yard run to the timing mat after exiting the pool. I didn't realize I was considered a fast swimmer for triathlon, though I was slow, was seed 25th at 6:20/400. This was a snake-swim though so actual distance was 450yds. What would you do differently?: seed later, learn flip-turns. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Put on shoes and sox aslo glasses helmet, shirt. ![]() Bike
Comments: got passed on hills, but passed more people than passed me. Didn't like getting passed by girl near the end which took me out of my race (went to hard and screwed up at T2). In practice I did this course at 18.5. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Wasnt logged, was included in bike time?, however I forgot to take off the helmet, went back to rack, the mat was a 90degree turn and i missed it and had to go back. this is probably why they didnt log t2, cause so many people missed it. What would you do differently?: practice! I had obsessed somewhat about T1 and forgot T2. Lost focus trying to keep up with a girl that passed me on the bike. ![]() Run
Comments: calf cramps at start, got passed at about 2.5miles by guy going sub 5min/miles which was cool to watch. What would you do differently?: sprint-out more at finish, do more bricks ![]() Post race
Warm down: ate some fruit Event comments: This was my first triathlon so nothing to go by, everything seemed great to me. Couldn't believe the volunteers, there must have been more volunteers than people racing. Last updated: 2007-03-06 12:00 AM
