Pre-race routine:

Flight in was late - barely made it to packet pickup. Should have known things weren't looking good..

Comments:

After the pre-race flat in, and bad valve in the spare, ran to the water and just made my wave - had about 1 min to our start. Once we started, the water was freezing and couldn't get my face in the water.. breat stroked and warmed up and finally started swimming by the 2nd bouy.
What would you do differently?:

get into the water much earlier to warm up instead of messing with 2 flat tubes.

what a disaster. what luck - how can my spare be bad too! I was quite happy that I was able to successfully change the tube on the back wheel- which I'm happy about anyway. Figured since I was there I would at least get the swim in, but it was depressing as hell. Had no time to warm up litereally in the cold water.. so had to paddle along until the second bouy. Not the way I pictured my second tri. REALLY disappointed.
