Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5:00 am as I had to drive, then take the metro, then take a bus.
Breakfast as usual (2 slices of bread + banana).
Event warmup:

None.
Just arrived in time for the start.

Comments:

Overall I am happy with my race although I could have done better.

There were about 18000 people based on what I heard.
I've never seen so many people in a single race.
I spent most of my time zig zaging trying to make my way through the crowd for the first 4 miles.
Then I controlled my pace around 8:00 pace until the 7th mile (I felt good and I wanted to keep some energy)
Then I accelerated for the last 3 miles, going faster each mile:
8th mile: 7:37
9th mile: 7:23
10th mile: 6:59
What would you do differently?:

1/ Get to the race sooner so I can be closer to the start lane.
I wasted time and energy making my way for the first 4 miles.

2/ Push harder now that I have a baseline to get under 1:15.

Event comments:

Very good race with a lot of volunteers.
Drinking station offer both Water and Gatorade.

Very well orgagnized.
I'll do it again.
