Pre-race routine:

Up at 3:45, took dogs outside, then bowl of cereal and bottle of Ensure before heading to Osceola to meet up with Mike and Tom. 40 minute drive
Event warmup:

Took the bike out for a 3 mile spin, then did a 8-9 min run. Swam about 75 yds warmup

I SUCK!!!! Everyone agreed that the swim course was longer than stated. There is no way I was swimming that slow of a pace.

Mingled and chatted. Met up with leapdog and mndiver and talked about the summer ahead of us....LOTS OF WORK TO DO IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF MONTHS!!!

Did I mention that I suck at swimming?

Event comments:

This was my first sprint ever. These races are just too short to give up a weekend of Ironman training, but its cool to be able to hammer knowing that its so short.

I entered the elite wave, so I have no clue what my age group placings were for each leg (results gave overall AG place only)

Nice race venue..just hope the swimmer's itch doesn't hit me in the next couple of days.
