Overall Rank = 113/202

Age Group Rank = 11/18
Pre-race routine:

Got all my stuff together in the dry SUB and then went out to T1, put it all out and callum caried me in my bare feet to the pool. I ripped my swim Hat so callum had to buy me another one.
Event warmup:

  • 26m 36s
  • 1500 meters
  • 01m 46s / 100 meters

There was a majorpile up at one point and I could get around these guys and then the girl behind me starts to tap me like crazy like she was thinking that there was somewhere to go in front of me. Eventually we both pulled out and passed about 5 guys and then we had to walk back to the start and do 14 more laps. We chased down the next two, and then she passed me and then I didn't see her again.
What would you do differently?:

Be more confident in my heat time and get in where I should be to allow for less passing to be done. I should have stayed with that girl for longer, I could have done it I thinkg
Transition 1
  • 06m

T1 was in two stages. One where you come out of the pool and change into your clothes and the other after the runtot he bike. I took the time to put on leg warmers and a shirt and a jacket. I helped a lady untangle her bra and I also put on gloves.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, it was very cold and I din't regret taking the time to put this stuff on
  • 1h 22m 30s
  • 40 kms
  • 29.09 km/hr

I'm really happy to be 86 out of 202 for cylcing. The agegroup 2529 is really strong. I tried to push hard on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

not much
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s

Pretty fast t2
  • 1h 01m
  • 10 kms
  • 06m 06s  min/km

I REALLY need to work on my running. I'm SO SO SOOOOO slow.

it was hard and painful and I hated every minute of it. It was wet and cold and I had to pee. I had nothing left. Every person I passed on the bike pretty much passed me on the run.
What would you do differently?:

Post race
Warm down:

Walked around ate some bagels and a banana. Found callum and got the hell out of there cause I was wet cold tired, hungry, dirty and I had to pee.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

poor hill skills on my bike, need to be stonger on the run

Event comments:

Great race, crappy weather.
