Run
Comments: Every race I pay to run I'm looking for a PR. Some don;t believe in this theory but that is the fun for me. Always looking to be better than before. Having said that I knew that my 10k PR was not going to be easy on the Peachtree course. I can't really complain about my performance. Miles 2 and 3 were slower than I would have liked but I was very pleased with the way I finished. Mile 1 - 6:45 Mile 2 - 6:37 Mile 3 - 6:48 Mile 4 - 7:03 Mile 5 - 7:02 Mile 6 - 6:42 .2 - 1:24 What would you do differently?: I ran about as good as my training would allow. I've been working more on endurance for the marathons so the speed to get much faster is just not there. More interval work would not hurt. My next 10k I'm hoping for a sub 40. Post race
Warm down: Not much here. Looked for Powell, and when I didn't find him I went on to get my top 1000 card :), chip removed, and T-shirt. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of speed work leading up to the race. Event comments: Unless I have a really cool trip for the 4th I plan on doing this race every year. Great tradition for a native Atlantan. Last updated: 2007-03-14 12:00 AM

Woke up around 5:45. Quick shower followed by a banana and half a bagel. Me, Powell and my dad rode up to marta and rode down to Lenox. Ate a powerbar and said goodbye to dad.
Ran around for about 5 minutes or so, nothing to brisk, then did some light stretching.
