Pre-race routine:

Breakfast: 1 1/2 toast with honey, peanut butter, cottage, and one banana, plus one short coffee. Rode my bike down the hill to the start.

It went pretty well. I'm happy I kept to my pace.
What would you do differently?:

Would have worn a shortsleeved tshirt. Maybe I would have gained 10 seconds!
Post race
Warm down:

Added layers (hoodie + jacket + neck gaiter), unfortunately left my gloves with Chris. :(

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I don't think I could have done much better. I hate the shoes though.

Event comments:

Despite the (again) rather poor (but not terrible) weather (foggy and wet), it was fun and I'm happy with my 5 min gain over last year's time!! The race is also very friendly and well organized.

Ran 4m45 the first km and then about 5m/km until the 6km mark. Increased the pace slightly and then more significantly for the last km.
Course: Rather flat, starting at Jericho Beach, the only hill is going up to meet 4th avenue.
