Pre-race routine:

stay the night in Indy woke up at 5:45 ate a english muffin with honey.
Event warmup:

walked about 5 blocks to start had to get in corral about 30 mins. early

Comments:

ran with goal of 1:35 as great and beating 1:41 last years time, start out with some friends ran the first 10k or more right on pace about 7:12 pace, around mile 8 my right foot started to bother me, I knew a blister was forming, I slowed to about 7:45 pace and just held on the last 4 miles, it was very humid and I started to get hot. I finished with a 1/2 marathon PR and was happy to gut it out. Ended with a blister the size of a half dollar on my right foot. I hope to recover before Sunday, I have a duathlon.
What would you do differently?:

not sure, do more longer runs leading up to the race, lub up the right foot much more than I did it tends to get friction.

Walked around, thighs,and hams were locking up

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Blister on right foot and humidity

Top notch race, is always fun, well organized, and just a great course
