  • 328 yards
  • 1h 55m 23s / 100 yards
Comments:

Started getting tired at the 150 meter mark and pooping out at around 250 meters but still had a decent time.
What would you do differently?:

Practice harder and concentrate on swim form. Wear a tri suit
Transition 1
  • 04m 11s
Comments:

My body felt like jello after the swim so I took it easy in the transition which cost me about 2 minutes.
What would you do differently?:

Hurry up. Practice transitioning and wear a tri suit
Bike
  • 45h 13m
  • 11.3 miles
  • 0.25 mile/hr
Comments:

My chain came off at about 8 miles into it which cost me about 3 minutes. I couldn't figure out how to get it back on so I said a couple of prayers and finally figured it out. I should have prepared better. The bike is brand new so I didn't know how to fix the problem. I was also on an uphill when I did it so I lost my momentum. After finally getting the chain back on I couldn't click in for about 10 more minutes. I couldn't figure out what was going on. This was a very frustrating bike.
What would you do differently?:

Learn better technique. Prepare for a tire flat or a chain coming off. Learn how to correctly change gears.
Transition 2
  • 01m 25s
Comments:

Not bad, I could have gone about 45 seconds faster.

Eat bagels

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mindset to just finish

Event comments:

This was my first race so I took it easy. The next one I will know what to expect and be a little bit more competitive. I had lots of fun and it was fulfilling
