Run
Comments: Good run. Kept telling myself to run my race and not go out too fast. Corrals worked very well up front but from what I heard from my fellow runners that there were a lot of walkers mixed in with the runners towards the back. HRM flatlined just around mile 1. had to restart my stopwatch to get the monitor to start working again so I wasn't too sure what my chip time was until the end of the race. What would you do differently?: Train on the bridge more. Was a little winded towards the top of the bridge but overall did a good amount of training. Post race
Warm down: Given the crowds, water and fruit were easily available. Continued to 'warm-down' at Charleston Beer Works w/a few pints of beer and some snacks. What limited your ability to perform faster: Experience- This was my first 10K Event comments: A very fun race with lots of supporters cheering you on and great volunteers! Streets were lined with people on both sides cheering when you came of the brige until the finish line. Awesome to see that many people out there. Will definitely do it again next year!
