Pre-race routine:

Up at 7:00a, yogurt and banana for breakfast at 8:00a, left 8:30a, arrived and checked in before 9:00a, stayed warm in car until 9:45a
Event warmup:

Light run for 2 minutes before race and some stretching (could have done more of both)

Comments:

Messed up on my Garmin timing at the end. Need to adjust total time and distance results. Time called out at finish was 26:46 and Garmin showed 3.02 miles = 8:52 minute/miles.
What would you do differently?:

Pushed as hard as I could based on my training/fitness level. Was satified with results and realize with more outside training, could improve time (something to shoot for).
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around refreshment area and parking lot for 5 minutes cool down. Ate banana and drank 2 cups water with small bottle of Gatorade on ride home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

More outside training needed! Particularly to deal with hills and wind.

Event comments:

First race of the year and overall was very satisfied with the outcome!
