Total Time = 1h 28m 30s
Overall Rank = 279/500
Age Group = F35-39
Age Group Rank = 19/31
Pre-race routine:

breakfast, water, and Gatorade Endurance
Event warmup:

dry swim warm up since my start wasn't for 40 minutes
Swim
  • 06m 34s
  • 300 meters
  • 02m 11s / 100 meters
Comments:

I seeded myself well. I passed the swimmer in front of me after the first lap and never looked back. Stroke was smooth.
What would you do differently?:

Stroke could have been longer. The swimmer that started after me was getting closer. My goal was not to get passed.
Transition 1
  • 02m 17s
Comments:

long run from the pool to transition. Since it had been raining the pavement was really slick.
Bike
  • 42m 55s
  • 12 miles
  • 16.78 mile/hr
Comments:

roads were very wet w/ lots of puddles. The road had many repair patches that were not smooth. I didn't ride at full speed because of the rain. This is the first race I have been in the aero position the entire time.
Transition 2
  • 01m 25s
Comments:

Someone racked in my spot again. This seems to happen a lot. Had to dump the water out of my running shoes.
Run
  • 35m 22s
  • 3 miles
  • 11m 47s  min/mile
Comments:

Mile 1 was slow and steady, mile 2 the legs started to relax, at the turnaround towards home my legs were completely loose and the stride was quick and easy. This is the first tri that I have completed the run only walking in the water stations. YEAH!!
What would you do differently?:

Practice will help get the run better. The track workouts are really helping.
Post race
Warm down:

An ice cold towel waiting at the finish line provided by the race director. Stretching and walking while drinking a nice cold beer.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Experience in running - in time that will get better.

Event comments:

The best after race party I have seen yet!!
