Swim
Comments: I was very weak in the water. I knew I'd be slow going into it because of my inconsistent training as of late, but I didn't expect to perform quite this poorly. I knew I had a lot of work to do getting out of the water. What would you do differently?: Train harder. Transition 1
Comments: My transition practice paid off. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: I felt outstanding on the bike and passed many people. My climbing abilities shined, even on the small risers, as I powered over them while everyone else slowed quite a bit. What would you do differently?: Push harder. Transition 2
Comments: My transition practice paid off. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: I worked with Doug Marocco for the first 4mi, then took off and gave it all I had left for the remaining 2.2mi. I felt great on the run. What would you do differently?: Push harder. Post race
Warm down: Walk around, stretch. What limited your ability to perform faster: Preparation in the water. Event comments: A great, local race. It was a great experience. The six hour car ride from Maryland was completely worth it. Last updated: 2007-03-29 12:00 AM
