Pre-race routine:

ate a small breakfast of peanut butter on toast, cinnamon roll and a cup of decaf, since I am not drinking regular any more. I wanted this race to be a tune up for IMAZ and I wanted to be under 1:30 and my plan was to go easy on the first 3 miles, pick it up for the next 6 miles and go pretty hard for the last 3.
Event warmup:

Short run with DickDime!

Comments:

Good run. I ran my plan just right. I wanted it to be tempo and 155 HR is right there. Never felt like I was pushing it except right at the end. First 3 miles easy, next 6 steady and the last 3 a bit harder.
Plus I PR'ed. Of course that is my first stand alnoe 1/2. My best half in a try was 1:38.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I didn't want to go any harder with IMAZ 2 weeks away.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around and talked to all the BT crew. Lot's of us out there.
Food was ok, brats, chips, ehh, could have been better.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

IMAZ

Event comments:

Good to see DickDime, Stacie, Cathy, Drew, Adam, Shannon, Sergeant vik, Ryan, Brett, and a slew of other tri folk! Rode the light rail back to the start, that was cool. Nice racing everyone!
