Pre-race routine:

Got up much too early because I couldn't sleep. Watched the weather channel and thanked my lucky stars that the temps were in the mid-60s overnight! Got to the start with plenty of time to spare, and hung out with 54,999 of my closest friends.

Comments:

The Peachtree is a very tough course, up some pretty drastic hills (drastic for this Florida girl who is used to flat terrain). However, the temperature really helped this year.
What would you do differently?:

I probably could have pushed it a little harder. I was thinking about past experiences where the heat and hills got to me, and didn't want that to happen again. But overall I'm pleased.

Event comments:

I've run this race for probably 15 years, but last year was the first time I qualified for TG-1b. They messed up the timing mats last year (and I broke my toe two days before the race!), so I didn't get timed. I'm really glad everything went ok today!
