Swim
Comments: Didn't freak out which was good. Tried to maintain a easy pace and focues on my technique for effiency. What would you do differently?: Pushed a little harder Transition 1
Comments: Need work on the transition... What would you do differently?: Have HR monitor watch on during the swim. Put shirt on prior to getting on the bike so I don't have to stop 200 yards into the bike. Bike
Comments: Could have pushed harder but wanted to make sure I didn't bonk on the run. What would you do differently?: go faster Transition 2
Comments: Not having bike shoes and pedals makes things easier. Frankly, I thought I was forgetting something when I started the run b/c it was simply rack the bike, finish my drink, helmet off, and I was on my way. I did forget my sunglasses though. What would you do differently?: Remember the sunglasses... Run
Comments: Had a great run and I'll have to check some of previous races but I think this is a PR for my 5K distance. I'm still shocked at how well this run went. I'm a 10 minute miler for the most part so anything under 9 minute mile is flying. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: walk around and watch the other finishers. did some stretching. ate some tomatoe pie and water ice. What limited your ability to perform faster: trepidation... Event comments: I've only ever had one other race so there isn't much to compare this one to, but I think they did a great job. Everyhthing was great...can't wait until next years. Up a little before 5am. Had an english muffin with PB. Coffee to go and some cytomax at some point.
None, finding a port a potty became more important than a swim warm-up
