Comments: It felt good for the most part. I was surprised at how fast I was able to go after having done a biathlon the previous Sunday. I kept a pretty consistent pace for 10 of the 13. What would you do differently?: I would bring one more gel with me to take at around mile 9. I could tell I was losing it towards the end. Post race
Warm down: I basically walked around for a while and then went home with my family. I live about a 1/2 mile from the finish but I appreciated the ride. What limited your ability to perform faster: I think lack of training at higher milage might have something to do with it. Event comments: I liked the format. Woke up early and had a small breakfast--oatmeal and a banana--about an hour and a half before the race. I walked to the finish/staging area to pick up my packet and catch the bus to the start. I think I would have eaten a little more in retrospect.
I jogged little bit to keep warm but really didn't do much for a warm-up. I kept kind of loose by some stretching exercises
