Swim
Comments: I could not believe how fast the swim was over. It didn't feel like I swam for 30 minutes. Not once did I have the panic feeling like I thought I would have. Transition 1
Comments: Not a lot of space to move around. Had everything laid out in the order I wanted to put it on. Had problems getting feet dried/dead grass off. Saw gals with buckets/pans to stand in and wash feet off. For not having ever done this before, ok. Bike
Comments: Oh my goodness! If I had to ride up one more hill, I think I was going to go nuts. What would you do differently?: By far this is my weakest area. Need to become better at switching gears, and maybe consider a road bike. Transition 2
Comments: Took a little extra time to stretch my hams/butt. Run
Comments: Legs didn't want to work for the first 1.5. Didn't feel comfortable running until about mile 2.5. By this time all I wanted to do was finish, and when I saw that I was going to finish before my over all goal time of 3:30-4:00 hr, I was estatic. Post race
Warm down: Walked around for a little and then stretch. Got a bit to eat. What limited your ability to perform faster: The bike really hurt me, both physically and mentally. Event comments: This was a great race for my first time. I'm so happy I did this. Last updated: 2007-04-05 12:00 AM
