Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5 and realized I left my MP3 player on the plane. ARGH!!! Got up and searched awhile, and yep, got all the boys off the plane and left my player.
Up at 7 for real, room service (spoilt!), toast, juice, banana.
Stretched and walked.
Event warmup:

Light stretching and walking

Comments:

Nice weather until about 15 km in, started to sprinkle and was pouring by the half way point. (and continued to pour)
Roads were very sloped, so when I was running on the right hand side, my foot was rolling in onto my heel. Very painful.
Ran a good first half, felt good but foot was hurting.
After the half focused on getting to 30 km. Stopped at the aid station at 30 km, stretched my foot, looked out over the coast to collect my thoughts. Right quad was getting stiff. Knew at this point, I would be finishing and not hitting my time. 32 Km my quad was seizing (right side.. poor leg has to make up for the weak L one), tried to stretch, but couldn't bend my knee. Last 10 km were tough and SLOW! Just thought about running intervals... 1 down, 5 to go etc.
Crowd was great, cheering really helped me. My head kept dropping lower and lower was really trying to focus on staying relaxed.
Crossed the line while the carrillon at the parliment building was playing trumpet voluntary. Thought that was quite fitting!
Was close to tears at the end, but managed to keep it together.
What would you do differently?:

Be injury free!!!
I felt I had the physical ability and strength to do this well, but was so limited by my injury. Frustrating.
Post race
Warm down:

Food and drink, walked back to the hotel with some difficulty. Almost went down going off a curb (knee was not bending at all!)
Stretch at the hotel, warm shower to warm up.
Wasn't hungry, but tried to eat little things.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Foot injury. Hurt the whole way, really affected my R quad.

Event comments:

I loved this course. Some hills, beautiful views, lots of spectators and runners.
Great race, hope to do it again, with more success!
