Swim
Comments: Man those guys were off like Donovan Bailey! WTF? So I started out with the pack and got on someones feet. Hint: even when drafting still sight. I didn't I lost about 50m that way. So I was last out of the water.Best ever sprint swim though (but not best pace). What would you do differently?: SIGHT! Transition 1
Comments: Ran out of the water, got to my bike....no helment or $170 sunglasses. I'm scrambling what the hell.... and an official comes over "what's wrong?" Then I spot my stuff through it on and have a hell of a mount at the line. :) What would you do differently?: Not have someone knock over my bike as thats what the officials said. Bike
Comments: Solo for most of the draft-legal bike. There was a bitch of a headwind northbound. I did tail the leader for a while when i was lapped. 50km/h and so signs of slowing, damn. What would you do differently?: Have energy? Transition 2
Comments: A pretty good T2 I'd say. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Cramped the first 2 laps. 2nd two I was Running! WOW! And with a hearty pace to boot. I knew I was beyond last but continued anyway. THe Aid station kept cheering me on. And going by the grandstands on the last lap I started yelling putting my hand to my ear waving my arms trying to get the crowd riled up. It woked they went nuts, and it mad the announcer mad since he was making an announcement at that time. What would you do differently?: Not cramp. Post race
Warm down: I crossed the line, chilled with team USA for a bit. As I was packing up transition Kathy tremblay walked by. I congratualated Her on her pro race win and I..that's it I was congratulated by a pro!!! Horrible race for me but still a great time, lots of fun! What limited your ability to perform faster: Everything. Event comments: Wish I didn fail horribly. Tons of fun nonetheless!!! Last updated: 2007-04-07 12:00 AM

So the night before we had a pre-race meeting. I sat with my buddy Karsten and were looking at all the teams that were there. Team USA, Team Quebec, team BC, etc. Why doesn't Ontario have a team? lol. So we get the lowdown, luckly there said they weren't going to DQ anyone who gets lapped on the bike THANK GOD!!!.
So to start I got at the race site at 11am. It was a 3:15 start, jr elite males were the largest and last wave of the day. IT feels weird saying that, jr elite. So I hung around with my parents, Karsten and at about one I went to bike/helmet heck in. This was serious stuff. Once the elites were off the bike we were allowed into transition. This was a through transition, so blue carpet down the middle and only two rows. Then I was dressed and went to swim warm up.
So I got to the lake, got bodymarked and it was pissing rain right. The lake may have been in the city but it was crystal clear. So clear i was spooked by a bunch of weeds 30ft out. Then we went back to the transition area, ad athlete introdutions and went to the start line. The start line was this carpet on the beach with a bunch of "t"'s on it. We all picked a slot based on race # and stood behind the carpet. "You are no in the hands of the starter..." Hmmm.... those ducks better move or they'll get runover. Then we moved to the start line (the t's). "Set.......*BANG!"
