Swim
Comments: Totally freaked out and couldn't get into rhythm-couldn't site well kept getting off course. What would you do differently?: I don't know at this point what to do. Transition 1
Comments: I was just feeling mad at myself and flustered. What would you do differently?: Don't know Bike
Comments: Very tough bike course-I took me a while to get really going and tough it up the hills-tried to make up for it on the downhills and some flats-and I tried to go hard around the sharp turns. What would you do differently?: Go faster somehow Transition 2
Comments: Faster in T2 than T1 What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: I wished I had gone faster-took me a little while to start my pace-almost felt like my calves were going to start cramping, but they were just very tight. Managed to start going a little more brisk and pass a few people-at least one in my age group. What would you do differently?: Just dig deeper and try to push harder Post race
Warm down: Good food and refreshments available. What limited your ability to perform faster: Open water swim freak out Event comments: This was an excellant race and venue-I feel that Scenic City Velo did an outstanding job of putting on this race and I hope it grows each year-this was the first year. Lots of door prize giveaways, great rewards, made everyone feel special, great post race food and refreshments, had wonderful goodie bags-sunscreen, swim cap, really nice socks with race logo, and other items.
