Comments: Never Swam Open water. Just started lap swimming in Jan/Feb. I swam until I saw peopl wading by me. Thought that was funny. What would you do differently?: Breath out of both Sides, so I could track the buoys better Transition 1
Comments: Took alot of time in T1. Soaking everything in. My goal was to finish and I had to change into Cycling Shorts and Top. A lot of sans on my feet What would you do differently?: Trishorts, no changing. Remember to bring water to wash off my feet Bike
Comments: No Bike computer this time and I left my 32C commuter tires on. Very disappointed in the bike portion. Cadence was good, but I kept thinking I needed to save my legs 4 Run. What would you do differently?: Balls out on bike 18-21 MPH. Smaller tires and take hills more aggresive. Transition 2
Comments: Changed into Running shorts forgot to untie Running shoes and have them ready What would you do differently?: Better running shoes Run
Comments: Some calf pain, had a hard time getting up to speed. What would you do differently?: More run training. Bring watch to pace myself Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: First ever TRI. Goal was to finish until I realized I was going to do that easily, then I was frustrated that I held back as much as I did. 1st Time no routine to speak of. Laid out all of my gear Night before. Forgot to get Pan for Water.
No real warmup. I did go out in the water to get acclimated and did some light stretching.
