Pre-race routine:

I woke up at 3:30am, showered, packed the car, and left home at 4:15am. I arrived at the race venue at 5:15am and picked up my packet at 5:30am. I had transition set up by 5:45am, and sat and waited until 7:00am.
Event warmup:

I swam for five minutes beginning at 7:00am. I ran for ten minutes at 7:20am.

I swam well, but definitely have a lot of work to do this off-season to strengthen this leg. I was six minutes back getting out of the water, and had a lot of time to make up over the next two disciplines.

Pushed hard and it payed off. One of my best bike performances all year, although I didn't feel as strong on the hills as I have previously. My cadence is what pulled me through it.

Push the downhills harder.

CGI always puts on great events. My only disappointment was the small turnout. I'm sure the race will grow as long as CGI continues to organize races so well.
