Comments: Good swim. Drafted off Des the first 200 yds.Strong, fast pace. Lactic acid made my arms heavy last half. Just kept it long & smooth until finish. Only 15 secs. back of Des. Hit the beach at 5'33". First in AG, 2nd in the 40+ wave. What would you do differently?: More harder swimming, but I'm happy where I am currently. Transition 1

Comments: Felt pretty good. Ran a nice even pace. Good run for me. Cloud cover helped a lot. Post race
Warm down: Hydrate & dip in Lake Nummy. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training miles. Event comments: I enjoy this race. It's fairly close to home, well organized, & a competitive field. A good early season race to check fittness. Too bad about no timing chips...everyone likes to know their splits. I took my splits with my watch like in the old days of triathlon. My biggest pet peave is drafting. I saw a few packs & called one woman a "cheater"(#571). All decked out in Elite gear & obviously drafting...didn't faze her one bit. Oh well, there will always be cheaters. Last updated: 2007-04-17 12:00 AM
