Pre-race routine:

Got there nice and early, set up for my transitions and wandered around watching the kids compete.

Nice, long stretching and a light 10 min jog tyo get the blood flowing.

Seeded myself wrong, the slower swimers held me up a lot and I had a very hard time getting by the large pack in the water.

Kind of fell apart n this, I did not train in water to bike so I was pretty shaky in the muscles driving out of the gate. I used up too much in the first 1/2 and then had nothing left to finish with. I was not ued to the flats and figured I would excel due to the hard training I've done on the hills in Burnaby. Wrong!
What would you do differently?:

Not dump everything all at once right out the gates. Pace myself a bit.

Some idiot parked his bike on top of my transition area. Took some time to get his carp outta my way.
What would you do differently?:

Take his seat post with me on my run and hide it for him!

Hamstrings were very tight had to take it easy in order to make it throught the whole run.
What would you do differently?:

Drive my car, might prove to be easyier and faster! Or not be such a pansy!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Inexperience, my wife not allowing me to buy a new bike yet. With a new high preformance bike, I will no doubt dominate in this sport!

Loved this race, it will always hold something special for me as she was my first!
