Pre-race routine:

eat some toast, with milk got up at 5am left the house around 6am got to the site at 6:45am got a good transition spot

Swam pretty good, didn't get into any traffic, didn't push it too hard, just stayed in a rythem. I did go about a minute faster than last year
What would you do differently?:

Swim harder, I took it too easy was swimming at my 1/2 marathon pace, got to remember it's a sprint

Rode well, HR was high at the start, but I didn't slow down. I wanted to push the bike and I did, I was shooting for a 26 min. split and was under it. I had a couple of miles where I started to slow, but kicked it back in to gear, this was a good mental effort I beat my bike time by 2 1/2 minutes from last year

ran good, started out my calfs were tightning, I really thought they were going to lock up, but I took my time and ran through it. Each mile was faster and I passed many people, I pushed my self and it hurt but I keep on going my time was faster than last year

I love this race, it was my first and I just like the distance you can really let it all out. It's organized well and ran well
