Swim
Comments: I started out ok. Felt ok. I waited a little and then started. during first 100-200 yards I was doing ok. Maybe going to fast? I passed a few people and felt ok. Then I started to run into people and got anxious. My heart rate started to spike and then I lost my breathing and couldn't catch it. I had to then swim on back to catch breath a few time in order to finish. I need to fix this. The swim screwed up the rest of the race as I was worn out. What would you do differently?: Trying staying further back before start. Then start slower and pick up if things are going well. Try to get this figured out as I thought the swim would be best Transition 1
Comments: I felt I had an ok transition I thought for my first one. I could have done a few things faster but was beat from the swim and trying to catch breath. What would you do differently?: Have better swim so I am not trying to catch myself Bike
Comments: I felt pretty good on the bike. Except for the fact that it took me 2-3 miles to get my heart rate down. I felt I could go faster next time if swim is better. What would you do differently?: Try to go faster and not leave much out there as I saved some not knowing how I would be for the run Transition 2

Comments: I did better than I thought in run with the rain and slippery ground. I had to walk a few times when I thought I need to catch my breath. Walked some of the uphills. What would you do differently?: Try to push myself more. I think I could have pushed myself through the walking to run. Left some out there that I could have pushed harder. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Used the towel they gave, that felt good. Got some food and ate with wife. Didn't feel to beat. What limited your ability to perform faster: the swim, swim, swim Event comments: Not sure how to rank the race as it got closed at end due to weather. And I have nothing to compare it to. Friday night had pasta and shrimp dinner with bread. spent saturday night in hotel with wife and watched movie. Had pasta and chicken/sausage dinner around 5:00.Got up around 6:00 at hotel. Had 2 special K with kashi ceral. Had 24 oz of drink. This was to much liquid before race. Should have just had water or nothing. Don't drink as much next time. Have more during the race instead.
Spent time getting transition ready. Did a few swims to warm up once wetsuit was on.
