Event warmup:

Powerbar, hair braiding by Janice, talking with friends. Small swim with Denise and Lisa. Mike getting me halfway into my wetsuit, Rick shaking me like a pillowcase into it the rest of the way.
Swim
  • 37m 33s
  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 17s / 100 yards
Comments:

Tried to be more aggressive with this swim, and ended up swallowing half the bay. I did significantly better on the swim, PR'd by 10 minutes. Only threw up once!!
What would you do differently?:

Not swallow water?
Transition 1
  • 03m 43s
Comments:

Had REALLY bad stomach cramps coming out of the water. Took my time in T1 to try to resolve that.
Bike
  • 1h 21m
  • 24.85 miles
  • 18.41 mile/hr
Comments:

Had fun on the bike. I PR'd this too, and other than the stomach issues felt great. I attempted about 4 oz of E fuel, which I promptly threw up, so I gave up on trying to drink.
Transition 2
  • 05m 1s
Comments:

I felt like complete crap at this point. I attempted a crank gel, and didn't even get it completely swallowed before it came back up. I sat on the ground and tried to make my stomach stop cramping.
Run
  • 1h 00m
  • 4 miles
  • 15m  min/mile
Comments:

I walked. Saw Mike (marmadaddy), Shaun, Mike, Lisa, Sue, Janice, Kathy, Christine and then Denise. Tried to "whoop whoop" each one!!

I got stopped in T2 by medics, then again at mile 2, and again at mile 3 and 4. I tried to sip water and/or gatorade at each stop, but threw it right back up. I was plodding along, with more and more cramping in my stomach. Somewhere after the 4 mile water stop I passed out for a few minutes. Woke up with the same medics who were riding behind me on their bicycles calling an ambulance. I begged them to let me finish, they agreed if I could get up and walk, they would let me. I tried, couldn't, tried to crawl, and couldn't, so they lifted me into the ambulance. Rob sweetly stopped to make sure I was ok, and offered to stay with me!! Thanks Rob!! :)
What would you do differently?:

I wish I knew!!
Post race
Warm down:

Enjoyed 4 bags of fluids at the hospital. Dr. McDreamy was gorgeous and took great care of me, despite my stinky, salty self!! He lectured me on the damage I am doing to my kidneys by losing 14 lbs in one race. I was relieved when Mike finally got the message (thanks Sue and Rick) to come get me. Thank goodness I took my phone on the run!!!!

This was my first DNF, and I didn't take it well. I'm pissed at myself, I'm pissed at my body. I'm not sure what to do differently, but I'm gonna try really hard to figure it out!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My freaky belly.

Event comments:

This is a great race, well organized and well supported by the community. I won't race it again next year, but look forward to jockstrapping and socializing!!
