Pre-race routine:

Got up at 4. Wasnt sure how long it as going to take to get there...But a good night sleep was acheived. Had a Waffle p-nut butter banana taco. and poliched off a bottle of diluted sports drink on the way...Almost didnt make it to the race..Some redneck left his overtread on ht road and i hit it w/ both passenger tires..no flats thank goodness...I honestly think i would ahve left the car and started peddling. Think i would have made registration. Got the venure at 540...plenty of time to mentally prep and kill time
Event warmup:

Hit up the fellow BTers and pondered about post race nutrition. Took a light swim to get warmed up only to freeze when i got out do to the nip in the morning air

couldnt find the groove.. had 2 syncronized swimmers in front of me drawing X's....couldnt get past them so they could continue getting in the way of others ....Hence never found breathing ryhtem
What would you do differently?:

hand out driving direction in pre race...and go over the details of a straigt line. Still need practice on the "Day of race"swim vs practice laps..

.rough first mile..still recovering the breathing from the swim...and no salt rinse so first drink shot was grape sugary salt...not so great.

had no odometer on bike...3 ride on bike ...not sure what pace was...makes for a difficult race

felt good...happy considering no odometer

Perfect dismount/rack/shoes one....missing one thing ...got 2/3 of way down transition for hte run and realized my helmet was still on...took off and rean back put w/ bike...im such a r-tard

Loose the helmet early

Good run ....Had more in me for better pace....Would have cought Jeff(parrj)..saw him just before the turn but he picked it up when he saw how close i was....He got skeered

Dont be scared of tanking out...No such thing as a comfortable run...Just go all out

Got the free water and walked around a bit.
Hit up hte rest of the Gang..woo woo

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Living off of Oatmeal for Mon tues wed fro breakfast and dinner earlier in the week.

Good race nice distance and course...will leave house later next time..
Bummer cant do second one on June 30 Will be in Orlando doing the Epcot Around the World Marathon..(drinking myself stupid)
