Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4AM, Cup of tea then breakfast Oatibix with skimmed milk followed by Filter Coffee.
Cyctomax drank in car on way to race. Arrive race at 5.30, visit loo, wandered round set up bike, visit loo, wander round, visit loo, drink energy drink, visit loo, energy drink and then 15mins before start SIS energy Gel

Swam hard at start but missed a big group ahead and then pushed hard to catch up a small group, after 8 mins settled in. Stroke was rushed and a bit frantic need to relax and lengthen from the start

left tranition at reasonable pace this time but struggled after halfway, nothing in the engine to push on. Felt a twinge in Left hamstring just starting the run.

Go bit easier on first lap?

Previous week(end) left me feeling tired and flat. Nothing in the engine on the run

Great Race, good location, just lots of people to dodge around on the run

167av 178max 3 LAP course with hill after 1km in each loop. Took first lap easy (15 mins) 2nd lap steady to eton turnaround (2/3) then push on. Engine fired and died couldn't push on, ended up trudging round
