Run
Comments: I took it easy on the first segment. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 1
Comments: I sucked in T1. I could not get my helmet strap fastened. I was in such a rush that I sat there for atleast a minute trying to it fastened. I was pissed. I wasted so much time. This has happened before and I always practice this. I just sucked today. I need to work on this. Bike
Comments: I had such a bad T1 I wanted to make it up on the bike. I chose to ride my road bike rather than my tri bike. Had I ridden my tri bike I know I would have been faster but I was very please with the bike. I shifted when I needed to, I passed people on the uphill. I have been working the hills this year and it paid off. I didn't get passed by anyone. I did the passing. Transition 2
Comments: I was pleased with this transition. Had I done this the first time I would have finished better. Run
Comments: I had a good second run segment. I only got passed by two people. One of them was the jerk in the red jersey. I was not going to let him beat me. So I stayed on his tail until about the last 200 yards and I passed him running an uphill part of the course. I felt very strong out there. The hills did not bother me. Post race
Event comments: I had never done a dualthon before. This was a first. I used it as a learning experience and a test of my fitness. I was pleased for the most part. I will try to incorporate a couple more dualthons into my season next year before I start doing the triathlons. Last updated: 2007-05-05 12:00 AM

Just standing around people watching. I was watching the guy in the red bike jersey who decided to do his bike warmup in the transition area. What a jerk riding like that. He could have hurt someone.
