Swim
Comments: Still sight poorly...I discover that I track pretty hard to the right, probably from only sighting that way when I race. I used the swim as a warm-up for my bike. Never did I push the pace. What would you do differently?: Even out my breathing, steer straight! Transition 1
Comments: Just took my time. I wasn't in a hurry here. In retrospect, I could have moved up a couple spots if I transitioned faster, but for my 1st half I didn't want to start the bike or the run with too high of a HR What would you do differently?: Move a bit faster Bike
Comments: Started out easy to get my self together by mile 10 I was ready to put some time down. Climbed well, descended well. At mile 48, on Cherry Lake Rd, I spun out and got my HR down...stopped the electrolytes and carolies and sipped on water. Felt good coming into T2. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Just took my time...spent a little time with officials to get a new transponder What would you do differently?: My my butt Run
Comments: Just started out in the first 5 K getting my legs right...next 10 k was keeping pace up and cadence high...last 5 k was giving all the rest of my gas...last .2 miles was the hardest thing I have ever done to my body What would you do differently?: More run training...sub 8's is my goal Post race

4:15 Am: PBJ sandwich...got my bag ready and drove to race. Transition opened at 6 AM...weather was horrible, raining pretty hard. Actually put my wetsuit on 1 hr before my wave started to warm-up. 30' prior to race I ate a gel and drank a cup of water. Let it settle and watched the IM start. THen got in the water to loosen up a little (actually very little) bit.
