Tried to go slow and not tire myself out. First time racing in the open water and didn't know what to expect.
What would you do differently?:

Probably swim a bit faster and draft more.

Very slow transition. The transition was a quarter mile on the sand. In an effort to avoid getting too tired, I walked the entire sand transition. Once I got infront of the bike, I tried to catch my breath and relax a bit.
What would you do differently?:

Run on the sand and get dressed a bit faster.

The most I did during my training was run/walk 1.9 miles at a 15 mph pace. For the training I did, I actually performed well.

Train harder to run in the 10 mph.
