Pre-race routine:

Up at 5:30 am. I live about 2 miles away so I just rode my bike to the race. Banana for breakfast
Event warmup:

I was a bit late in arriving, so my ride to the event was my only warmup. I had about 5 minutes to set up before transition closed.
Swim
  • 07m 11s
  • 547 yards
  • 01m 19s / 100 yards
Comments:

Good start. Got free of all but 2 other athletes. moved in behind the one with the wetsuit (the other guy and myself were without) and let him cut through the swimmers from the previous waves. second half of the swim felt extremely easy once I calmed down.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 1
  • 00m 56s
Comments:

had top and number tucked into my swimsuit, so I pulled it up and put it on as I ran to my bike. Put on the helmet and done. passed the two swimmers I was with in transition and 1st (for my wave) on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Bike
  • 39m 56s
  • 15 miles
  • 22.54 mile/hr
Comments:

I have ridden a grand total of 2 times since Ironman Hawaii. Roughly 55 miles. Not exactly the best way to prepare for this, but such as life. I knew this would be where I get destroyed. Surprisingly, I didn't get passed on the bike until 14.75 miles. Unfortunately the guy who passed me started in the wave AFTER me. So he was now 3 minutes ahead of me. Ouch.
What would you do differently?:

train more than 55 miles in 6 months. hahaha
Transition 2
  • 00m 39s
Comments:

Off the bike, put on the shoes and grabbed the hat. ran out of transition with the guy who passed me on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 20m 37s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 06m 38s  min/mile
Comments:

I haven't been putting in many training miles on the run, but I have been running somewhat regularly, so I was expecting slightly better that what I did. I thought 6:20-6:30 miles was possible, but the breathing just couldn't keep up with the legs, so I was a tad slower. 3 people passed me on the run, including 1 from my age group.
What would you do differently?:

not much.
Post race
Warm down:

none. grabbed a water then a beer. then another beer. ;)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

very little training.

Event comments:

One of the best run races I have ever done (again). Great support for this race to make it seem flawless.
