Comments:

I wasn't sure how to pace myself so I decided to just run and see how I felt. At the first mile mark I was a little dissapointed to see I was at 7:38...it felt faster. At the second mile marker I was at 14:39 so I had apparently picked up the pace a little...only I hadn't...I forgot to subtract the :35 seconds it took me to cross the timing mats at the start.
Post race
Warm down:

Waited at the finish for my wife...apparently I missed her. Froze my ass off for about an hour and a half trying to find her.

Event comments:

This was my first Broad St Run and my first ten miler. I really enjoyed it! It's long enough to make it worth spending my morning doing it but short enough that I really didn't need to prepare in any special way.

Performance:
Course: Point to point...relatively flat with an overall downhill profile. With 17,000 runners the course was crowded but not so much that I couldn't run my race. Dodging people and weaving in and out was actually a nice distraction. Looking ahead and behind me and seeing an absolute SEA OF PEOPLE running was very, very cool.
