Pre-race routine:

My firt Olympic Tri I was a little nervous
Got up at 5:30am, shower, had a bagel with cream cheese
Event warmup:

Took the bike for a test ride, ran back and forth to the car to drop off stuff, swam 100 meters

My swim was horrible, I am blind in open water, I think one arm stroke might be better that the other one I keep on going to my right a lot, had to stop a lot of times to situate myself, it was awful. I took me 10 min. longer than I expected. my HR was high again!!, I could not get into a rithm. I am very dissapointed
What would you do differently?:

I need more practice in open water, lower my HR. I think a wetsuit might help me also.

I put on socks, I am still tryng to get use to my new pedals, it takes me a little to get on them.
What would you do differently?:

no socks next time, I need to train T1 and T2 more, practice jumping on the bike.

I keep my cadence above 90, stayed in aero the whole time, I had a small pain in my stomach since the beginnig of the bike, I felt full like puking or burping but nothing ???, I ignored it, I pass a lot of people, I was very satisfied with my bike leg. It made up for my horrible swim. I had a hammer gel.
What would you do differently?:

There was nothing I could do about the pain?. I shoul drink more, I only drank 1/4 of my bottle

I used my training shoes for the race, I don't have the quick laces on them, I had to tie them....what was I thinking?!!!

Get the quick laces !!!ALWAYS!!

The pain remained there it was uncomfortabel, buy again I ignore it, I am so slow....I think I was even slower that my training pace, my HR was high......slow very slow...
What would you do differently?:

Maybe I should just run and don't worry about ny HR, It could become a mental brick. I need to do some speed work

I was lost in the water...Maybe the pain had something to do in my run, my nutrition is not the best, I could drop some pounds

My time according to my watch was 2 minutes lower, even at the finsh clock it read 2:54 but the race site says 2:56 ??

Course: Kind of flat, one turn around was in the dirt It was very muddy, did not care for the run, I would have preffer one lap only on the road.
