Pre-race routine:

woke up at 4:30. ate 3 pancakes (no syrup). drank accelerade and water. ate 1/2 bagel w/ cream cheeese. got to race 45 min early, stretched and pissed right b4 gun time.

Warm down:

went str8 to a bar for shots and beers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

wen i stopped to piss, my legs cramped up. i pissed too much. i did not take off fast enough from the gate. i also lost 3 1/2 minutes on the first bathroom break due to the line. i need to more carefully monitor fluid intake.

Event comments:

roads were a little rougn. tree roots on bike paths created tripping hazards. grade on roads were tough to run on. town folk great. very extied and supportive. not all miles marked, made tracking laps difficult.
