Swim
  • 08m 47s
  • 440 yards
  • 01m / 100 yards
Comments:

This was my first OW smim in 8 months a little nervious, I was breathing every stroke the first 100 yards which is not typical for me, I had trouble getting in a good grove, at the turn around bouy I start to get in a good pattern and breath good, it was my first swim that I swam the whole way with no dog paddling or breast stroke.
What would you do differently?:

relax and concentrate on stay focused on my stroke and not what is happening around me
Transition 1
  • 01m 55s
Comments:

Transistion was about 200 yards from the beach area, jogged and got shoes and helmet on then you had to run your bike the the road.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Bike
  • 48m 48s
  • 16.7 miles
  • 20.53 mile/hr
Comments:

Never got going on the bike, first time I have been down in the aero bars on my new bike, I just got the bar pads the night before, I was that comfortable, felt too far forward, and had trouble staying the the aero postition.
What would you do differently?:

Try to ride on the race set up before the race, should be the last time that happens.
Transition 2
  • 00m 57s
Comments:

T2 was smooth
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 24m 5s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 44s  min/mile
Comments:

run was out mile and half and back, water at the 1.5 mile mark, it was very hot and humid and I could not wait for the water, I was melting down each hill took some out of me, hung in there and keep a descent pace
What would you do differently?:

not much
Post race
Warm down:

streched

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of traning I've been sick and have not run much and new bike not quite set up to race yet a little uncomfortable

Event comments:

Race well ran, only water was on the run turn around and it was 85 degrees with high humidity
